Enjoy this quick 10-minute recipe of Suji Toast that you can have as a breakfast or a snack. It’s easy but delicious at the same time!
Ingredients
- 1½ cups semolina/suji/rawa
- ½ cup tomatoes (finely chopped)
- 1 cup onion (finely chopped)
- 1 cup red, green, yellow bell peppers (finely chopped)
- 1 tablespoon fresh coriander (finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- ½ teaspoon black pepper powder
- 3-4 tablespoons butter
- 10 slices bread
- 1½ cups water
Steps In Making Suji toast
- In a large bowl add all the ingredients except the butter and mix until well combined. It will form into a nice thick batter, the consistency shouldn’t be runny. Now let it resat for around 7-8 minutes.
- Once done, generously spread the suji and veggies mixture on one side of the bread slice, leaving the other side plain. Similarly, prepare all the suji toast.
- Place a tawa or pan over medium flame and add some butter on it. Now place the suji toast and toast them for a couple of minutes from each side, until perfectly toasted.
- Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
- You can store the suji and veggies mixture in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Recipe Notes
- You can add any veggies of your choice.
- Immediately toast the bread after applying the suji mixture, else the bread will become soggy from the bottom.
